Intermediate Audio Course

This course is intended for people who have a basic knowledge and understand all the concepts listed in the basic audio syllabus. The course contains a recap of the relevant areas of the basic course.

The course covers the following:
-Microphone applications & pickup patterns

-Plosive & sibilant sounds

-The physics of balanced and unbalanced signals including phantom power

-Signal to noise ratio & gain structure

-Using semi parametric eq

-The extent of human hearing

-Advanced mixer functions

-Digital recording

-Judgement & sensitivity in mixing
